Jesus is the light of the world and he wants his followers to be light as well. Being light involves living as Jesus lived and doing what Jesus taught. Numerous scriptures tell us to stand up for the oppressed and to care for the poor and underserved. No matter your circumstances you can shine right now, wherever you are, by responding to this call to loving service and generosity. Start by deciding to live like you trust God—Do what you can do; trust God for the rest.
