Join us as New Beginnings Community Church prepares for the next decade with the Rejoicing and Reaching Capital Campaign embracing God's vision for our ministry.
As we have experienced extraordinary growth in Redwood City, San Jose, and Online, God has opened some remarkable doors this year for us to lay a foundation for transformative ministry for decades. One key opportunity is the extraordinary gift of a permanent home in Redwood City through the gift of Sequoia Church, which will be enhanced by a targeted renovation project to ensure capacity for growth and a fully engaging worship experience. We also experienced remarkable favor in God allowing us to secure our San Jose facility for the next 15 years, allowing us to invest in much needed accessibility improvements (second floor disability access) to allow our San Jose location to truly be multi-purpose in hosting events. Our Rejoicing and Reaching Capital Campaign will enable us to take these significant steps forward as a ministry while also providing initial funding for continued campus expansion as NBCC grows.
Our goal for the campaign is $7,000,000 ($7M). Our initial estimates, which are still being refined, is that the Redwood City renovation work will likely be roughly $6M, the work in San Jose may be up to $1M. We will also utilize the first $100,000 raised from our capital campaign to fund partnership gifts to our 2024 Serve Day non-profit Partners as we continue to annually mobilize to serve our Bay Area community.
Yes! We hosted 4 Vision Q&A Events where folks from our community dialogued with NBCC leadership about the capital campaign. Two of these events were held at our future NBCC home in Redwood City! If you missed our Vision Q&A gatherings, catch the recording of our first session held on Oct 27 at Sequoia Church.
Our Capital Campaign begins Sun, Oct 20, 2024 with our Reaching and Rejoicing Vision Message Series, and culminates with our church-wide Serve Day on Sun, Nov 17, 2024 (online Gatherings only on Nov 17; no in-church Gatherings that day). We will ask that pledges be turned in on Dec 1 or Dec 8, and will provide regular updates to the church as the goals of the campaign are realized. We expect that most of the renovation work in Redwood City and San Jose will be completed in the first year of the campaign, and we hope to move into our new permanent Redwood City location by the end of 2025!
This is the first capital campaign in the 10 year history of NBCC, and it reflects the unique opportunity that God has granted to us to establish long-term foundations for our ministry!
The Capital Campaign is open to all those whose hearts align with where God is leading NBCC. Whether you are online or in-person, a current part of our congregation, a former partner, local, in another state or country, you are welcome to participate in this campaign.
We invite you to participate in the Capital Campaign by:
Thank you for participating in all the ways God has given you the ability to do so! We thank you for your faithful role in bringing this vision to life!
Yes! A pledge is not legally binding. You may change it any time for any reason. To adjust your pledge, please contact An-Ti Wang on our business operations team at awang@nbccbayarea.com.
When you create your pledge, you will have the option of setting up a recurring gift to give towards your pledge weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or quarterly over the next 3 years (our pledge fulfillment period). You can also fulfill your pledge through stock/equity giving, donor advised fund giving, setting up a qualified charitable distribution or cryptocurrency. If you have additional questions about giving or other ways you'd like to give, please contact An-Ti Wang on our business operations team at awang@nbccbayarea.com.
For our initial phase, we ask if possible for pledges to be made on Sun. Dec 1 or Sun, Dec 8, 2024. However, it is possible to make a pledge at any time during our 3-year campaign period, and you can enter a new pledge at our Vision Campaign website at NBCCbayarea.com/campaign.
A pledge is a good faith commitment for how much you intend to give over the 3 years of the capital campaign. A pledge can be changed or updated at any time, and it is not legally binding. Giving toward the campaign goes toward fulfilling the pledge. We will send out regular updates regarding pledges and the amount given toward the pledge as the campaign moves forward for the next 3 years.
We do ask that everyone who gives or intends to give toward the campaign to please make a pledge, so that we can accurately plan financially for the future.
Yes, New Beginnings Community Church is a 501(c)(3) and your giving is tax deductible.
