As a mercy ministry of Youth With A Mission (YWAM), their vision is simple: "to feed the hungry, both physically and spiritually". Youth groups from Christian churches and other volunteers are needed. We welcome junior high and high school age youth, along with their leaders, from churches all over the U.S. and Canada. The Lord has prepared a good work that brings His love to the lost. Gleanings For The Hungry is the perfect place for you and your hard working youth. It takes 80 people to run the processing line at peak efficiency.
We will work from 9 AM – 5 PM, Mon – Thurs. Every day starts with chapel time, after which the job assignments are given for the day. We also work on Friday morning until noon, with teams departing after lunch and clean up.
Monday to Thursday, we provide three meals a day and two snacks. On Friday, we provide breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served at 7 AM. Lunch is from 12 Noon – 1 PM. Dinner is served at 5:30 PM.
