Praying for and Supporting Nepal

Catastrophic flooding in Nepal has claimed more than 1,250 lives, left thousands missing, displaced families, and destroyed entire communities. Approximately 65,000 people have been affected, including more than 22,000 children who urgently need clean water, sanitation, and other humanitarian assistance.

As the people of Nepal face this devastating crisis, we invite our NBCC family to pray for those who have lost loved ones, homes, and livelihoods, as well as for the first responders and relief organizations serving on the ground.

As part of our commitment to Life-Changing Generosity, we are increasing our Be A Blessing giving goal from $100,000 to $110,000 so that NBCC can send a special gift to Convoy of Hope in support of its relief efforts in Nepal. A Prayer from Pastor Hurmon

Dear Gracious and Merciful Father,

We come before You on behalf of the people of Nepal as they endure unimaginable devastation, grief, and uncertainty.

Comfort those who are grieving, bring healing to the injured, and reunite families who have been separated. Provide for and protect all who have been displaced—especially those most vulnerable. Strengthen and protect the first responders, military personnel, health care workers, relief organizations, and courageous volunteers serving on the ground.

We thank You for holding the people of Nepal in Your unfailing love. Sustain them through the long journey ahead, and bring healing, restoration, and hope out of the devastation.

In the powerful and compassionate name of Jesus, we pray.
