How can I help?

Our hearts are heavy as the recent fires in the Palisades and across Southern California have devastated countless lives and displaced entire communities. You can make a difference by supporting the disaster recovery efforts of trusted organizations we have worked with or supported in the past including The Salvation Army, The American Red Cross, Convoy of Hope, and Jordan International Aid. Your donations help provide immediate aid—such as shelter, food, and medical assistance—to those in need. Together, we can bring hope, relief, and the resources needed to rebuild lives.

A prayer from Pastor Hurmon

God, our Comforter and Strength,

We thank You for Your loving care and mercy during the devastating fires in Southern California. We are grateful for the firefighters who have worked tirelessly to control the flames. We praise You for each person who escaped unharmed and for every home that was spared. We recognize that, without Your grace, the destruction could have been far worse.

Even as we acknowledge Your goodness, we mourn with the families and friends of the nearly 30 people who have died—men and women of various ages and backgrounds. We know that more than a dozen people are still missing, and we pray for their safe return to their loved ones.

Please heal the bodies, hearts, and spirits of all those traumatized by the fires. Provide for those who have lost their homes or livelihoods, and guide them as they rebuild their lives. Continue to protect and strengthen the firefighters as they work to fully contain the remaining fires.

Bless all who contribute to these charities, aiming to be a source of comfort amid pain and loss.

As we move forward in Your strength, we entrust ourselves, our homes, and our state to Your care and protection.

In the name of Your Son Jesus,

Amen.

“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.” —Psalm 46:1 (NIV)
