Christina Alo was born and raised on the beautiful island of O'ahu, Hawai'i. Her life journey has taken her across the country—and even across the sea—serving on cruise ships and along American Rivers, and all over the world. These diverse experiences have shaped her deep love for people, culture, and meaningful connection.
The eldest of four, Christina treasures her role as a proud aunt to a large and growing family and as a devoted dog mom to Jax and Pirate. She finds joy in spending time with her family, traveling, and staying connected to music, film, and pop culture.
Christina holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from California State University, Fullerton, which has deeply informed her understanding of people, culture, and community transformation.
With over two decades of ministry experience—both vocational and volunteer—Christina has faithfully served in a wide range of roles. Her background includes ministry operations, executive support, radio ministry, assimilation, administration, and leadership across multiple areas including First Impressions, special events, women’s ministry, singles, and missions. She brings a unique blend of strategic leadership and relational warmth to everything she does.
Today, Christina serves as the Director of Transforming Communities at New Beginnings Community Church, where she leads efforts to expand the church’s impact both locally and beyond. She provides oversight for initiatives focused on departmental growth, leadership development, and digital expansion—equipping teams, raising up leaders, and extending the reach of Transforming Communities in meaningful and innovative ways.
Over the years, Christina has also served as a short-term missionary both locally in San Francisco and internationally in Russia, India, the Philippines, Greece, and Guatemala—experiences that have deepened her compassion and global perspective.
Christina’s leadership and voice are shaped by a deep commitment to community transformation and living out faith in practical, everyday ways. She is passionate about developing leaders, equipping people to live out their purpose, and helping bridge divides through empathy, understanding, and love. Her faith is the foundation of her life and calling. Reflecting on her journey, Christina shares:
“Jesus literally and miraculously pulled me out of a very dark place—what could have been a tragic end. Instead, He has filled my life with love, peace, power, and purpose. With every conscious moment, I am forever grateful.”
One of her favorite scriptures is from Micah 6:8 "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God".
