In this first message of the Love on Purpose series , Hon. Shelyna Brown-Hamilton invites us to love ourselves on purpose. This is because we have difficulty seeing and trusting God’s goodness when we don’t love ourselves. Not loving ourselves leaves us with a distorted view of God’s love for us and an inability to love God the way we should (with our hearts, souls and minds). By learning to love ourselves more through forgiving ourselves, setting boundaries and engaging in self-care, we can become a better neighbor. Consider saying something loving to yourself every day this week.
